QUESTIONS! QUESTIONS! QUESTIONS!

Dear friends!

There are questions that can be answered from the pages of Holy Scripture. The Bible is given to us as a guide to shed light on what we need to know. There are also questions that we can bring to God in prayer and wait with patience for an answer. In such situations, for example, as moving to another country, getting married, etc., you cannot rely on someone’s opinion or, so-called, “prophecies”. It is very important that the Lord clarifies these matters to you personally. There are questions that we cannot even answer. For example, I know some people who described the spiritual world in such detail that you will not find anything like this in the Scriptures, however, they claimed that it was “revealed” to them. One Scripture crosses my mind when I hear something like this, “… intruding into those things which he has not seen, vainly puffed up by his fleshly mind” (Col. 2:18). The spiritual world is real, but living in the flesh, we cannot even imagine what it looks like. We only partially understand and know what is beyond the material world. And what we are given to know will be necessarily confirmed by the Holy Scriptures, even if we refer to personal experience. Therefore, these kinds of statements, experiences, visions and revelations should be approached with wisdom and caution, testing whether or not it is in line with the Word of God. It is impossible to answer absolutely all questions, but what we already know about is enough for a godly life in Christ. “… as His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue” (2 Pet. 1:3).

Nevertheless, our God is Living, and therefore, He hears and answers the prayers of a person who is sincerely seeking Him. Very often, the study of the Word of God is approached from a purely academic point of view. Such an attitude only causes regret. Thus, the person receives knowledge about God without knowing Him personally. David writes in Psalm 5:3, “My voice You shall hear in the morning, O Lord; in the morning I will direct it to You, and I will wait expectantly.” David never prayed one-sidedly. It was truly a conversation with His best Friend, to whom he could pour out his heart. It would be strange to ask your earthly father about something and, without listening to an answer, turn around and leave. So David waited. What did he wait expectantly? An answer to his prayer from the Lord. God says even today, “Call to Me, and I will answer you” (Jer. 33:3). And God does answer in many different ways.

If you have any questions about the Bible, as well as simple life questions that you would like to ask, feel free. I try to answer any questions asked by anyone, be it a person who is an adherent of another religion or even an atheist.

May the Lord be with you!
